The Church

In a recent episode of Perilous World Radio, hosts Alan Masters and Brian Bouteller explored the theme of judgment within the church, prompted by a friend’s challenging experience during her divorce. Alan emphasized that the church should serve as a supportive community; however, he acknowledged that members often resort to harsh judgments in delicate situations. Brian contributed to the discussion by pointing out that while some forms of judgment can be beneficial, they can turn harmful in the absence of compassion. Alan also shared his personal reflections on envisioning a more empathetic church environment. He recalled his journey of inheriting the church from his father, Roy Masters, and mentioned a seminar titled “The Reckoning.” Through this experience, Alan realized that the seminar was more about his own personal growth than it was about others.

In our recent Patriot Outreach segment with Colonel Tony Monaco, Dr. Dawn M. Weston discussed "Professing the Faith in a Hostile World." American athletes increasingly pray openly on the field, expressing gratitude to God, while public figures are also using their platforms to share their faith. In contrast, Iranian Christians face severe consequences, risking death and imprisonment for their beliefs, and many are turning from Islam to Christianity despite violent reprisals. This raises a significant question for American Christians: would we be willing to take such risks for our faith? Scripture reinforces these themes, with Matthew 5:16 urging believers to let their light shine through good deeds. 1 Corinthians 10:31 reminds us to do everything for God’s glory, and Colossians 3:23 emphasizes working wholeheartedly as if serving the Lord. Together, these verses inspire believers to boldly profess their faith, even amidst challenges.
