Self-Assessment
Hello everyone, and welcome to another edition of Perilous World Radio, your host, Alan Masters. As an entrepreneur, Alan views life differently, as he invests in the future. Entrepreneurs think differently, he claims. He shares a quote that sums up his view on achievement: “Only those who will risk going too far, can possibly find out how far one can go.”
Life often leads us to moments of self-reflection, where we may doubt our worth or abilities. However, there are those pivotal "aha" moments that can bring clarity and truth. Just like John the Baptist boldly confronted Herod about his adultery, we, too, must evaluate our actions and the paths we’ve chosen.
As we journey through life, driven by ambition without considering a higher purpose, we might find ourselves lost and facing consequences from our choices. At some point, we need to pause and ask ourselves if we like who we have become. This self-assessment might reveal that we’ve strayed into unethical behavior, perhaps through dishonesty or infidelity. It serves as a reminder to reassess our values and the life we wish to lead, acknowledging that there’s always a way to redirect our path towards something better.
In our recent Patriot Outreach segment, Colonel Tony Monaco was joined by special guest Chaplain Laird “Chap” Thompson to discuss the profound impact of our words, encapsulated in the topic "Your Tongue Has the Power of Life and Death." They emphasized that the words we choose can either uplift or harm, influencing not only the lives of those around us but our own as well. Referencing Proverbs 18:21, which states, "The Tongue has the Power of Life and Death," they encouraged everyone to use their words to bless and build up others, as well as to speak lovingly to themselves. This reminder highlights the significance of our language, urging us to communicate positively, reflecting the truth that we are all made in God's image.
