Evil has tempted woman to tempt man to be ambitious, to ravage the Earth of its “life,” knowledge and power, which is essentially passed back through the sequence, and control­led by men of evil intent.

So men have become slaves of tyrants, machines, science, medicine, yes even music and the arts! For even these are used to lull to sleep and control the minds of men. 

Music gains ascendancy over the mind in the usual way, by occupying the attention and pulling it away from its conflict, to produce the relief which we call pleasure. The reason music can do this well is because it lends itself so well to the glorification of our pride.

We feel like a King glorified by the praises of his angels. Each ego feels that the music is played for its benefit alone. 

What happens is the classic loss of identity, the degradation of the victim, and resulting greater need for “music appreciation,” to distract and smooth over what has happened.

The hypnotic power of music can be so great as to merge the soul of the victim with the music, taking him completely out of himself, so that he can appear to undergo what seems to be something similar to a mystical “religious” experience.

The soul can think that it has become pure spirit—while the vacated body is vulnerable to possession by malevolent forces—even disembodied spirits. Many people fascinated by music are “not home.” It is as though an old wine (spirit) had been put into a new bottle (vessel).

Drugs have much the same effect! They make the mind dull through over-stimulation, and drain the body of its energies. 

There are subtle forces on Earth that have already claimed the minds and bodies of legions of human beings, just as they have done in the past—which explains the evils of human history, but today it is on a more grandiose scale.

We do not war with flesh and blood, you see, but with demonic principalities and powers operating through fallen flesh, from their secret abode.

This is why it is so imperative that you understand the nature of your own pride, and not be caught up any more with false salvations, worldly teachings, dogma, materialism and pleasure. 

Give more of your attention to spiritual matters, such as the conquest of resentment and anger; give up the inordinate craving for things that dull the mind into false feelings of security, for acceptance and recognition. The devil will give you recognition—for a price!

Your very soul hangs in the balance when you seek both power and recognition. 

Be careful not to resent those misguided people caught fast in the social web of deceit, lest your resentment towards them cause you to fall even further from the command that we love another. Don’t covet or be jealous of people in high places or positions of power and affluence, who seem important, happy and content.

They are not! You see only the veneer, the surface appearance of things, and not the core-reality of their real suffering, masked by the compensa­tions that please them, and which only appear to your eyes as happiness.

To resent the sinner is to be tempted to be more of a sinner, so that what has made the sinner a sinner prepares a home in you for itself. To covet is the same whether it involves fame and fortune, or simply your neighbor’s wife, husband, or a new dishwasher! 

If you were properly centered, you would already be fulfilled. Being fulfilled, you would not need or be compatible with the artificial materialistic and cultural opiates that uplift the spirit.

In your dejected (sullen) ego frame of mind, that is just what you have been seeking: something or someone who will recognize you and put you back on your “throne,” in doing so, giving you a sense of importance and authority; through such as these you have always been falling and losing stature.
