Fail Forward

In a recent episode of Perilous World Radio, host Alan Masters and Brian Boteller, executive director of the Gospel Rescue Mission in Grants Pass, Oregon, discussed the current challenging political landscape. They expressed concern about the tumultuous environment not only in Oregon but globally, emphasizing the increasing divide between differing ideologies. Alan reflected on his own experiences and philosophy of living one day at a time, recognizing the importance of learning from past mistakes while remaining focused on the future. He candidly shared that while identifying errors after the fact is easy, the courage to acknowledge those mistakes is key to personal growth. Alan likened life to a journey, where the occasional glance in the rearview mirror serves to inform but does not dictate one’s path forward. He highlighted the frustration many feel in navigating a world rife with conflict, explaining that this division has been building for generations. As they pondered over the possibility of reconciling these differences, Brian pointed to the global context, acknowledging various world leaders and their distinct approaches to leadership, including figures like Donald Trump. This interplay of perspectives illustrates the ongoing struggle between good and evil in a world that increasingly demands clarity and resolution. Join Alan and Brian as they share wisdom gained from experience and mistakes in this risky world.

In a recent segment of Patriot Outreach featuring Colonel Tony Monaco, Civil Rights Attorney Rees Lloyd joined the discussion to honor our heroes on "Four Chaplains Day." This day, observed annually on February 3, was established by a unanimous resolution of the U.S. Congress in 1988 to commemorate an extraordinary act of bravery that took place during World War II. On February 3, 1943, the Four Chaplains demonstrated remarkable heroism when they gave their lives to save others aboard the Dorchester, a converted luxury cruise ship transporting Army troops to Greenland, which was escorted by Coast Guard Cutters and accompanied by freighters. Their selfless actions are forever remembered as a testament to courage and sacrifice.
