Essence of Jesus
The essence of Jesus's teachings is that he didn't judge individuals based on their background or status—whether they were tax collectors, criminals, or doubters. The Pharisees, however, placed great importance on societal status. A recent letter highlighted an insightful point about Jesus's deliberate choice to maintain his outsider status. By downplaying his fame and success as a healer, he ensured that people's belief in him stemmed from genuine understanding rather than superficial admiration.
This raises a crucial insight about belief itself. Just as individuals can be influenced by hypnotists due to their faith in the process, our beliefs—shaped by culture, family, and experiences—profoundly impact who we are. Often, people live according to inherited beliefs, which may not align with their true selves. It's only after pivotal moments of realization that one can uncover and confront these inherited lies, leading to self-discovery and authenticity. Ultimately, it’s about determining what we truly know and believe, beyond the narratives we've been given. Join us as Alan and Jan Masters take us on a spiritual ride to search for the truth and nothing but the truth on today’s Perilous World Radio.
