Realize that you cannot make decisions. Don’t resent it, because it is Truth. It is the first intuitive knowledge that you have ever had in your life; it has nothing to do with empirical learning, but discovering another way of knowing, a knowing that is the leading edge of the eternal wisdom leading you to eternal life—moment by moment.

Look! You simply cannot remember a whole symphony at one moment. You sing or play one note at a time, and then you “hear” the next note just ahead. Life in the Light of Reality is a Divine theme played by ear.

Realize that He who makes you realize that you can’t decide anything will reveal the score intuitively, and this basic truth should strike the very first harmonious note deep in your heart.

You are in trouble because you find yourself immersed in a system where you alone are forced to make decisions, all of which produce conflict. You live or die in a system of beliefs, decisions, and turning points. Yet no matter how hard you try to have faith in what you do, things never work out well; you end up more misled and uncertain.

Your inherited prideful way leads to dead ends. What you need is the kind of faith as well as a special kind of belief that will save you from the system of false faiths and beliefs.

You are, or should be, seeking a (redeeming) way of believing and seeing life, on which can be built a positive system of effortless decisions, a life that has to do with giving up willing, simply because you have searched and have seen the error of your way.

There is but one right ambition: to seek the Truth, because as that ambition becomes realized, the Truth will reveal to you what you must aim for. You can confidently go forward to goals without trembling.

The Truth will save you from deception that has blinded your ego to the Truth for the sake of all those ambitions of your pride. Every decision based on appeal to your pride causes frustration and guilt and serves the purpose of evil.

Because the act of making a decision causes conflict, you may develop the fear of making decisions. You might attempt to cheat disappointment and frustration by deciding not to decide, but even that happens to be another ego decision, which causes more fear and conflict.

Now, I fully realize that without some form of decision making, no goal, good or bad, can be attained—you simply cannot function at all, but you can always tell when a goal is pride-based because of the futility you feel.

The only sure way to be free from a frustrating life in the future is to realize now how you have built up your ego on the things you have aimed for. A goal cannot be correct, no matter how technically right it might seem or feel, if you do it for some kind of secret reward or satisfaction to your ego.

The way of right choices originates through realizing the whole truth about the entire ego decision-making process. Look at it this way: If you could see clearly where to go, there would be no need at all to make decisions about it. On the other hand, where you cannot see clearly, then you are called on to acquire and analyze facts.

The prideful goals you set up blind you; you get in the way of the Light, and become the “light” who decides what is good and evil. The soul that decides is actually playing the God role, and the folly of this eventually is revealed through mental, emotional, and physical suffering.
