Meditation Questions
I have the book "How Your Mind Can Keep You Well"
and the audio that contains the "Be Still & Know" technique.
What materials should I get next?
  We recommend trying STEP 2.
Apart from that, everyone's problems are different. Browse the FHU online catalog, and buy whatever products spark your interest. The most important thing is doing the “Be Still and Know” exercise. Without this, all of the other materials will be ineffective.

Why do I keep falling asleep when I meditate ?
If this is happening to you, it might be that your body needs a rest. This problem is OK for a season, but if it continues we suggest you give Roy a call on his radio show at 1-800-866-8883   Mon-Fri   9pm-11pm (PST).

Radio Questions
Is Roy's "Advice Line" radio show live?
Roy’s show is not live on all radio stations. Some stations record the show and play it at a later time. Go to the Radio Stations page for the current times.

Is "Advice Line" in my area ?
We have a web page that lists all of his current radio stations and a map.

Audio Questions
What are MP3, Windows Media & Real Media?
MP3, Windows Media (WMA) and Real Media (RM) files are specially compressed audio files that enable you to easily listen to Roy’s lectures and shows over the internet. You can either listen to them directly or you can download them to your computer and listen to them whenever you like.

What should I buy: MP3, Windows Media or Real Media?
MP3 is superior and will sound better, but it is 2-3 times the file size of Windows Media Audio (WMA) & Real Media (RM) so they will take longer to download.
WMA & RM can be played by most audio players and the software for both is free for the Mac and PC. iTunes on the Apple Mac will not play RM and WMA audio so MP3 is best for that.

What are the different sizes of MP3, Windows Media and Real Media?
A typical 60 minute audio in MP3 is about 25Mb. The same audio in Windows Media Audio (WMA) and Real Media (RM) is about 4Mb.  So if you have a slow dial-up connection, it will take a long time to download an MP3.

Burning CDs
I burned a WMA CD. Why won't it play in my player?
Most home and car CD players do not recognize WMA or RM audio CDs, but most computers do.
If you want to put many of Roy's lectures onto one CD and play them back in the car, at home or on your walkman, it's probably best to buy MP3 audios.
MP3 audio is widely recognized by many CD players and you can get 20-30 lectures on one MP3-CD.

Why won't WMA or RM audio lectures fit on a CD?
Some lectures are more than 84 minutes, which is too long for a CD. Although the WMA and RM audio is compressed to a small file size, the length of the audio does not change.

Download Questions
I bought and downloaded some audios. Why won't they play?
All audios that you buy and download (MP3, WMA or RM) are compressed into "zip" files. Before you can play the audios, you must decompress them using software such as WinZip for the PC or Stuffit-Expander for the Mac (both of which are free).  If after uncompressing the files they still do not play, please email problems@fhu.com and explain what happened.

Why do I get an error message when I download an audio I bought?
It could be our server is down or the file is corrupted. Try clicking the link in the download again later. If it still doesn't work, please email problems@fhu.com, and explain what happened. Also include your order number and the audio number.

Coupon Questions
I tried using a Discount Coupon. Why didn't it work?
• Make sure the coupon hasn't expired or the special offer hasn't ended.
  • Be sure you type the correct coupon code at the checkout.
  • For more info on coupons click here.

PDF Questions (Adobe Acrobat)
I clicked on a link to download a PDF. Why didn't it work?
Different web browsers handle downloads in different ways. Some immediately display the fact that they are downloading a file while others do it in the background without letting you know until it is done. If you have a slow internet connection, it might take a long time and seem like nothing is happening.
The best way to download a pdf is to "Right Click" on the link, select  "Save Target As"  from the menu that appears and then save the pdf to the desired location on your computer. Once saved, double-click on the file or open it from Acrobat Reader.

Online Store/Shopping Cart Questions
I wanted to check out but there were no payment options. Why?
During the checkout process, the shipping is calculated by connecting to the US Postal Service website. If their website is down or slow, and doesn't respond fast enough, the FHU website cannot continue the checkout process and so will not display the payment screen. Please try again and if that doesn't work, try a little later; the contents of your cart should remain there for a few hours.

What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Visa, Master Card, Discover, American Express and Paypal.

Web Subscription Questions
When I try to renew my Web Subscription, why does it say there is
already a user with the same name/email address?
Although your subscription may expire, your account doesn't (ever). So trying to re-subscribe at the sign-up page will actually try to create a new account. If you try to use the same name/email address, the system will not allow it. The way to re-subscribe is as follows:
1. Log into websubs as you would normally do.
2. Click on the "My Account" button on the left side.
3. Click on the "Subscriptions" Tab at the top of the page.
4. Select the Subscription you would like to re subscribe to, select the
payment method and then click the "Subscribe" button.
5. Follow the instructions to make a payment.
For all websubs-related issues, please email problems@fhu.com

I tried to renew my web subscription. Why won't it let me?
You must follow the instructions provided above. If this doesn't work, and if your account is still active, you may actually have to unsubscribe first - some users have found they cannot resubscribe while their subscription is still active. To unsubscribe, click on the "Trash Can" symbol (under the Subscriptions tab in your account). You should now be able to re-subscribe.
For all websubs-related issues, please email problems@fhu.com

I logged in to the websubs. Why can't I find anything?
After you log in, the links to the particular web subscriptions that you have subscribed to will appear as text links near the top of the page.
For all websubs-related issues, please email problems@fhu.com

How do I find out when my Subscription expires?
After you log in, click on the "My Account" link on the top right corner. On the page that comes up, click on the "Subscriptions" tab at the top of the page. The account info will be displayed on the page.
For all websubs-related issues, please email problems@fhu.com
