How to Survive Your Parents

  They will have had their chance at life through you and you will have had your second chance. Their choosing wrong should not faze you one little bit. It has become their problem, not yours. You can rest assured that you did what was right. Do you see why it is not up to you to save anyone? Why you are responsible only for showing the way? Your role is to stand as a contrast, not a temptation.
     You cannot know how God is working to fulfill His pur­pose for you. He may have given you a second family to teach you a lesson and to work out a happy ending for all. On the other hand, you may find your second family more incorrigible than the first. You may show wisdom and strength you did not have with your first family, yet still not get the response you egotistically want. That this family cannot appreciate your goodness may be another test for you. Your wife may have a wicked harlot's heart. Knowing how egotistically desperate you are, she is pleased to frustrate your reaching your goal every which way she can, all the way to hell and dragging you with her. So there must be no will, no goal. There must be only patience and long-suffering, and never mind the outcome.
     Understanding the Truth, you may bring joy to a potentially good family, or frustration to a wicked one. Either way, walk tall; feel gladness; smile.
