How to Survive Your Parents

When we pull away the disguise, we see Mr. Nice revealed as a female spirit occupying a male body. So long as you intoxicate yourself with the image Mr. Nice projects, you will not be aware of the exchange between you that is taking place. It can be an incredible cunning devil indeed. The rule of thumb is: submission induces violence when it fails of its object, which is to ascend to power to become violent itself.
No one can escape the spirit of guile that stalks the earth since man's fall from grace. Violent men attract submissive women, women who are conditioned to the role of mothering and spoiling violent men. And submissive men attract violent women. Everywhere there is intrigue. Nowhere is the spirit of grace to be found.
Were a businessman firm and fair with his employees, there would be no need for a union. But because he is otherwise, a union evolves, and because of its likeness to the corrupt management, it eventually destroys the company. In the same way, graceless politics evolve suspicion, rivalry and violence between countries. There can be no peace until there is grace.
So it is in all human affairs. When grace prevails, evil ceases to evolve, and there are no losers-only winners.
Now a generation of vipers has emerged-womanly men and manly women seeking from each other their lost roles and powers. Like his weak father before him, who gave his wife power, Mr. Nice feels most secure (powerful or right) in the presence of a strong, dominating woman. To him weakness is not surrender, but a strategy of the ego for survival and conquest, learned from his role­exchanged parents. He may see himself as magnificently
