ROY : I am saying that.

MAN: You mean to be once again objective to words and then use them as a vehicle of meaning?

ROY: Just as I am doing with you and, hopefully, you are doing with me now.

MAN: I know that you were born Jewish-and it is very un­Jewish to be anti-linguistic or anti-rational in the tradition of Zen. For example, Zen and Krishnamurti have nothing to do with the Judaic background as far as the attitude to­ward language is concerned. The Jewish tradition has a wholesome acceptance of language and people verbalizing among themselves and with their God.

ROY: That's true. Maybe not so wholesome, though.

MAN: For example, Jesus, too, was a Jewish rabbi, and he claimed that he was God's only begotten Son. He said to them, "When you pray, pray this way: 'Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.' "

ROY: Ah, but you should understand that you don't have a complete Bible and cannot therefore know everything He said.

MAN: I 'don't agree with that. But still Jesus, in this case, tells them to verbalize with the Supreme Being, which is
