Secret Power of Words                                 Words of Knowledge:

succeed, you become oblivious to the spirit of it, and so the spirit of language continues to motivate you, whether you are aware of it or not. Language, then, is not the problem. The egocentric use of it is, for it brings you its spirit.

MAN: Is that really the problem? You say "demon of

language." Language is a creation of God. The Transcendentalists, the Maharishi people are against language. They don't believe you can find meaning in language, and yet they are demon-possessed too.

ROY: Please don't misunderstand me. I told you I am not against language. Only when your ego has been seduced through language- will you be for or against it. I would not be communicating with you if I were anti-linguistic. I repeat: It is the misuse of language; it is what we weave into and draw through it; it is what we promise through it and how we lose ourselves in it. Those are the things that cause us to fall to the Babylon evils of "pure" language.
Let me show you a principle. Human beings are different from animals in that we are dualistic beings. We have a spirit and a body. We have thought, but we also have an observer of thought. This observer should exist in a divine state of observing its lower self objectively. And if we are distant from thought-not part of it, not involved with it-we have a different way of knowing, other than what rises up in thinking.

MAN: Yes. By intuition.
